Same Great Business Leadership Program, New Admissions Process
For nearly 40 years, the Foster Executive MBA program has advanced organizational leaders’ business knowledge and skills, allowing them to make greater impacts within their companies and accelerate their own careers. This personal and professional development is enhanced by attracting and enrolling the best and brightest students. In addition to assessing an applicant’s MBA academic potential, Foster EMBA seeks applicants with significant work experience including leadership and management experience. To consider the broadest range of applicants, Foster EMBA is changing its admission program, effective for autumn 2021 applicants.
What is the same? As in the past, Foster EMBA will continue accepting applications throughout the year for its one annual enrollment term (autumn quarter start only). Foster EMBA will continue admitting truly aspirational and accomplished individuals with demonstrated records of achievement. Applications will be reviewed holistically.
What is changing? Foster EMBA will now make decisions in “rounds.” While applications are still accepted on an ongoing basis, applications must be complete, including receipt of recommendations and the organizational endorsement form by our Round 1 (December 1), Round 2 (February 1), or Round 3 (April 1) deadlines.
“This process change allows the EMBA Admission Committee to see a wider range of applicants at the same time as we make admission decisions,” says Randell Hernandez, director of admission. “This new approach ensures Foster EMBA continues admitting the strongest applicants. To help potential applicants, we augmented our admissions webpage information, providing greater detail to assist applicants in preparing the best application possible,” he added.
A schedule of recruiting and admission events, including live virtual Application Workshop sessions allowing potential applicants to ask questions in real-time, is available on the Foster EMBA admission events calendar.
