Expressing gratitude in tough times | Alumni lunch and learn webinar

The stay at home order can have us focusing on the people and things that make our lives more difficult and less pleasant and forgetting about the things that make life pleasant. A way to help change that mindset is to practice gratitude.

In the second of the Lunch & Learn w/Foster: A Webinar Series, Ryan Fehr, associate professor of management at Foster and world-renowned expert on gratitude, discussed his research on gratitude in the workplace. He shared reasons on why there’s not gratitude in the workplace as well as the impacts of showing gratitude can have for employees and the company.

Fehr covers techniques people can use to bridge the gratitude gap, or how much gratitude employees want to see versus what is currently happening within the company. He also lays out a few simple steps people can take individually to start living a grateful life.
