Foster retains #24 spot in Poets&Quants rankings of best undergrad business programs

For the second consecutive year leading industry publication Poets&Quants ranked the Foster School #24, #8 among public schools, and #1 in the Northwest of 93 schools in the 2023 Best Undergraduate Business Programs. Foster benefited from the rankings increased emphasis on diversity in admissions, an area in which Foster has a long-standing commitment.

Foster performed particularly well in Poets&Quants career outcomes results rankings, in which Foster is among the top 20 nationwide. 97% of the Class of 2022 had a business-focused internship before graduation, up 1% from last year’s 96%. Further, 97.67% of the Class of 2022 secured a full-time position within three months of graduation — up from last year’s 96.39%. Graduating seniors reported an average starting salary of $72,262 compared to $66,042 of the previous class. Meanwhile, 32% of the class reported getting signing bonuses of an average of $8,435.

With majors in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Marketing, and Operations and Supply Chain Management, students from the Foster School were hired by a diverse range of employers including Accenture, Amazon, Boeing, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Microsoft, Nordstrom, PwC, Starbucks, and Tableau among others.

Foster also ranked among the top 20 schools with the most affordable resident tuition. In addition, the Foster student experience is enhanced by 28 student organizations that provide leadership opportunities and engagement via experiential learning.

The Poets&Quants ranking equally weighs admission standards, alumni satisfaction with the quality of the academic experience, and career outcomes.
