Tyrus Gilbertson describes his experience of being homeless with his son and daughter before being given a new lease on life by Mary’s Place family shelter. Gilbertson also shares what has kept him going as he works to provide for his family.

Rick Hooper, co-president of the Seattle Uptown Alliance, shares what his organization is doing to build pathways out of homelessness and offers his perspective on challenges and opportunities that individuals can face as they work to strengthen their community.
