Select Foster programs offer test waivers to competitive applicants for 2020-21 admissions cycle

To provide more flexibility, the University of Washington Foster School of Business is extending test waivers for the 2020-2021 admissions cycle to some qualified applicants in select MBA and specialized masters programs. This waiver will allow qualified candidates who meet certain criteria to be considered for admission without submitting a GRE, GMAT, or Executive Assessment test score.

From lack of childcare (making studying nearly impossible) to limited access to in-person testing accommodations, the pandemic has complicated the ability for prospective students to prepare for an admissions exam […] Given the challenging environment, Foster is making the exam requirement easier by approving a test waiver to select applicants.

Evening MBA Students

Standardized testing is just one data point in a much larger picture when evaluating applicants for admission. We understand that each applicant has a unique perspective and history, and we are pleased to provide more flexibility to applicants who qualify for a waiver.
– Allison Shults, Assistant Director of Admissions for the MSIS program

Test waiver consideration, quantities and requirements vary by individual programs.
