That’s a Wrap

I am back in Seattle after almost five months of traveling Europe. I was beyond excited to come back home, to see my family again after so long, but I find myself looking through all of my pictures from my semester abroad, and I wonder if I ever have the same experience again. It is a mixed feeling of sadness and happiness. I am happy to be home, yet I feel like I left another home behind.

I don’t feel like a new person but I think this experience has changed me. A change that I cannot truly describe. My friends ask about what I most the most, and without hesitation I always say food.  Now that I think about it, it is not just food. I miss the experience of enjoying a meal with my friends in a strange land where none of us were familiar with.

I would miss these five months of my life. I would miss Venice with its romantic alleyways, Rome with its incredible history, Florence with its magnificent arts, and Milan with all its cute restaurants. I can write pages about this, but truly, it still wouldn’t be enough. One last thing I would say is that memories last forever.

Addio 🙂
