Undergraduate Student Ambassador: Nisha Kajani

Why Foster?: Foster is a great choice for anyone who is looking for an academic environment that will push you to develop professionally and personally as well. Through my time here, I have learned as much (if not more) outside of the classroom as inside it, which has added incredible value to my college experience.

Over Summer Break I…spent most of last summer interning at Avanade on their Growth & Strategy team. But the month before school started, I traveled to Lima, Peru with 4 other Foster students to work at a non-profit startup called Laboratoria.

After graduation,  I plan to…work at a consulting firm and travel as much as I can–whether it is for work or pleasure.

Advice to future students: Explore all the opportunities that you are interested in, even the ones that may seem intimidating. When you find something that resonates with you, run with it!

Favorite place to study: Anywhere with coffee

Favorite place to eat on the Ave:Ku Sushi for sure. 50% off all rolls during happy hour and happy hour is all the time!

About the Undergraduate Program

The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration builds foundational knowledge of business which students enhance with specialization in the fields of accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources, information systems, international business, marketing, and operations/supply chain management. In the classroom and out, students learn strategic approaches to working on and leading teams, practice critical thinking and analysis while cementing theoretical knowledge, and acquire work experience through internships.

The undergraduate program at the Foster School partners with Seattle’s thriving and innovative business community to develop forward-looking, customized cases centered on a current strategic issue. The result of this partnership is a capstone course, Strategic Business Management, taken during one quarter of senior year, which positions student teams in front of executives to make formal presentations on their recommendations.
