Why Global Executive MBA

There are many excellent MBA programs in the United States – so, why choose a Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) at the Foster School of Business? In this video, three GEMBA students explain what drew them to Seattle, the University of Washington, and this particular MBA program.

Suyeon Kim (Korea) chose GEMBA because of the excellent faculty, and GEMBAs location in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. As Suyeon says, Seattle is a city where you are surrounded by creativity and innovation, from well-known tech titans to smaller, more progressive startup companies.

Senthil Prabhu Palaniswamy (India) chose GEMBA because of the 1 year, full-time schedule, which is a schedule beneficial to mid-career professionals, so they may return to the workforce sooner. Senthil Prabhu was also particularly drawn to the curriculum’s emphasis on leadership. Finally, UW and Foster School’s excellent reputation all over the world was an important factor in his decision to study with GEMBA.

Takashi Goto (Japan) chose GEMBA because of the limited time commitment involved in obtaining the degree, which, as he says, is important when you can only be away from your company for a short time. Takashi also enjoyed GEMBA’s small class size, which enables students to participate more in class, receive more individual attention from staff and faculty, and develop closer relationships with classmates. Finally, Takashi chose GEMBA because of its location in Seattle, which is a great place to raise a family.
