CISB Starbucks Company Visit

On February 7, 2020, a group of CISB students from all tracks had the opportunity to visit the Starbucks Headquarters in downtown Seattle. Thanks to Spanish track CISB alumna Erika Dotson, we were able to tour the beautiful building, learn about the history of the company, and learn about Starbucks’ international business processes in Latin America and the Caribbean. Erika and colleagues gave a deep dive into international regulatory compliance, brand protection throughout the supply chain and partnership-focused solutions. We did all of this while tasting delicious coffee and fresh pastries along the way.

One of the most amazing outcomes of CISB is the connection that alumni develop with the program, as well as the willingness of alumni like Erika to give current students the opportunity to learn about future career options. Though I am just about to graduate in June 2020, I look forward to the day that I too have established my career in International Business and can give back to the program that has given so much to me!
