Emily Engel: MSBA’s New Recruiting and Admissions Manager
We are excited to welcome Emily Engel as the new Recruiting and Admissions Manager for MSBA! A Snohomish Native, Emily comes to us from the Foster Executive Education department where she worked as a program-marketing manager. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in math from Gonzaga University.
Emily is an outgoing self-starter who loves traveling and connecting people. She’s eager to start engaging and building relationships with Seattle companies looking to build out their business analytics teams. “One of the things I’m most looking forward to is attending and organizing recruiting events in Seattle’s excellent business community of tech, manufacturing and retail. MSBA is a new program in a rapidly growing field; it’s a really exciting prospect to start building our first MSBA cohort from such a rich employment pool,” Emily said.
Emily is a current student in Foster’s Evening MBA program, which gives her an excellent vantage point for what a prospective student’s future holds. “I love that piece of it, I think that gives me really great insight into the concerns and needs of prospective students. I know what being on campus as a student feels like firsthand, I know the struggles of maintaining that balance of working full-time and going to school at night. It helps me to be able to tell the story of what it is to be a Foster student,” Emily told us.
What drew Emily to the position at MSBA was the opportunity to be a part of building the Foster community. “The first word I’d use to describe Foster is ‘inclusive’. In my experience as a Foster employee and student, I’ve met classmates and colleagues who are open to learning and open to teaching me as much as my professors have been. The people here make this school what it is and I’m excited to help cultivate that community for MSBA.”
Prospective MSBA students, feel free to reach out to Emily with any questions or just to say hello. Welcome Emily!
