GBCC 2019: The Leadership Team
The 21st installation of the Global Business Case Competition (GBCC) is just two months away and we’re more excited than ever to welcome our international competitors to Seattle. Our sixteen incoming teams hail from ten countries on five continents, from far away Australia, China, Denmark, Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, Romania, and Spain, to our neighbors in the US, and Canada. We’ve had an incredible group of student leaders working hard over the last six months to put together a memorable 21st anniversary celebration and the competition to come is sure to be a resounding success. As always, the GBCC will be jam packed with international collaboration, engagement, and education, and conclude with an exciting 21st annual award reception on April 13th, 2019.
GBCC week is always product of both tradition and innovation, the result of twenty years of history combined with the ideas and inspiration each new group of student leaders bring. To keep them focused, the student leadership team developed the following endeavor statement and goals for the week:
Endeavor Statement
In organizing a thoughtful and engaging undergraduate global case competition for business students, we hope to connect the local Foster community with the wider international business one to craft meaningful relationships and gain valuable insight through shared passions for cross-cultural connections and understanding. This in turn will enhance the global mindset of our undergraduate business students to improve the UW Foster School of Business’ educational reputation.
Goals
- Make lasting connections – network with Foster students and international students!
- Continual Innovation
- Increase cross cultural business understanding for participants and Foster Students
- Gain quantifiable post-event feedback
