Exciting addition for the Hybrid MBA Student Council: JEDI committee welcomes Neurodiversity focus

The Hybrid MBA Student Council, 2023-2024

The Hybrid MBA student council works collaboratively with the students, staff and faculty to ensure that student input is an integral part of the Hybrid MBA program. The council plans networking and career events, runs student groups, and provides valuable feedback on the Hybrid MBA curriculum.

A welcome addition the JEDI committee

The Hybrid MBA program strives to support its entire student community and is thrilled to announce an addition to our Student Council and the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee (JEDI) – Neurodiversity.

CJ Kipper, Hybrid MBA JEDI – Neurodiversity Student Council Representative

Over the next several quarters, the student council through the guidance of lead CJ Kipper, will focus on expanding our community’s understanding and responsibility when it comes to living with and supporting those who identify as neurodiverse. As leaders who value inclusivity and fostering humanity and community, we hope this role brings not just resources and awareness to supervise and work with neurodiverse but empowers those who are neurodiverse to lead with confidence.

About Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity is a viewpoint that brain differences are normal, rather than deficits. Neurodivergent people experience, interact with, and interpret the world in unique ways. This concept can help reduce stigma around learning and thinking differences. Neurodiversity emphasizes the importance of understanding, accepting, and accommodating individuals with diverse neurocognitive profiles, promoting inclusion, and valuing the unique strengths and perspectives that all brains bring to society. Different ways of thinking, learning, perceiving the world, and interacting with others helps organizations thrive, as a workforce that includes people with a variety of perspectives, backgrounds and experiences can improve creativity, innovation and problem solving.  Below is a list of some of the categories with links that fall under neurodiversity umbrella.
