Foster’s Focus on Student Quality Puts Evening MBA Program in #10 Spot in Nation

Fortune ranked Foster’s Evening MBA #10 in its first-ever Best Part-Time MBA Programs Ranking, indicating the continued quality of Foster’s inclusive student community. Foster led the ranking of 70 U.S. programs, comprising three measures: program, business school brand, and Fortune 1000 C-level alumni.

Student Quality – The Foster Difference

What sets Foster apart is its purpose-driven focus, putting an emphasis on community and leading with impact to better humanity. According to Foster School Dean Frank Hodge, “Our purpose serves as our North Star, it guides how we foster leaders to meaningfully impact their personal and professional communities. It acts as a magnet to attract students to the Foster School who are driven to make a difference in the world.”

Foster’s Evening MBA Program cultivates a diverse, inclusive community by creating an immersive, in-person experience that works around job schedules. Students come from a variety of industries and functions to a cohort in which they can collaborate and solve real-world business problems while they learn from top-ranked faculty.

Each incoming student class is selected for their potential to contribute to this sense of community, in addition to selection criteria such as standardized test scores, undergraduate GPA, and years of work experience.

“The Evening MBA is a transformative experience,” said Wendy Guild, Associate Dean of MBA Programs. “We put a premium on experiential learning and enable specialization through electives, rounding it out with a mentor program, and clubs where students can explore interests or new career paths.”

Students have access to the same world-class curriculum, clubs and career services as Foster’s flagship Full-time MBA program.

Foster Brand

Another measure of the ranking is brand strength. Foster has proven itself as a strong business school brand that opens the right doors for students. With 78% of Evening MBA students changing jobs while in the program, many have leveraged MBA Career Management programs and the deep recruiter connections of the Seattle business community.

Strong Alumni Connections

Foster students are surrounded with a global network of more than 55,000 alumni, who include the greater Foster MBA alumni community and Fortune 1000 C-level MBA alumni. Foster’s acclaimed mentorship program provides direct access to these business leaders who are willing to give back to students and shape their leadership potential.
