We are proud to announce that in the QS 2021 Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings, the UW Foster MSCM program ranks at #9 in the world out of 46 programs, and at #5 among U.S programs.

QS World University Rankings is an annual publication that ranks global universities on a variety of factors. We are proud to announce that in the QS 2021 Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings, the UW Foster MSCM program ranks at #9 in the world out of 46 programs, and at #5 among U.S programs.

#9 in the World

After exclusions were made, the QS 2021 Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings only considered 46 programs of the hundreds of global options. The crosscut of 46 programs programs were selected based off of surveys conducted in 15 countries of 37,904 employers, 34,971 academics, and 27,831 alumni.

This is the first time that QS World University Rankings has released a ranking for supply chain management programs. Alongside Foster, other leading U.S and global programs were also included in the ranking. The five indicators that were considered in this ranking are: employability, value for money, thought leadership, alumni outcomes, and class & faculty diversity.

Foster MSCM Grads Get the Job Done

In the alumni outcomes indicator group, Foster MSCM ranked at #5 in the world with an index score of 96.5. This not only speaks to the employability of Foster MSCM grads but also to the fact that they are in high earning and senior positions. Example alumni job titles include: Supply Chain Manager, Pathways Operation Manager, Senior System Analyst, Senior Program Manager, and Category Manager.

ROI is Valued

Another component of MSCM’s strong ranking is the return on investment or ROI of the program. The Foster MSCM program boasts an ROI index of 80.2 coupled with an estimated 21 month payback rate and a 10-year ROI level of $578,467. This is an especially large feat when considering the relatively low cost of the program.

It should come to no surprise that the Foster MSCM program boasts an index score of 100 in regards to the research impact of the faculty. The research conducted by the faculty reaches MSCM students through the means of cutting edge, rigorous, and original curriculum.
