Orientation…4 days and counting

This week new students will be immersed in classes during their first orientation. They will be building the foundation for their study groups, learning about ethical leadership, and honing their presentation skills.  Although it’s a packed schedule, we carve out some time for fun too with a few happy hours with trivia and billiards.

I always look forward to orientation and getting to know the new class. Although all of the class sessions are important, my personal favorite is Building Effective Teams. One of the assignments is for each study group to introduce themselves to their class section. The presentations are always fun to watch and I am guaranteed at least one really good laugh.
