Preparing for Take Off: Company Spotlight with Boeing, A Collaborative Event with Foster’s Affinity RSOs

Undergraduate Women in Business, Black at Foster, and Association for Latinx

Professionals for America had the privilege of hosting a remarkable event, Preparing for Take Off: Company Spotlight with Boeing, which was made possible through Kevin Carroll’s Katalyst Grant. This professional networking panel event aimed to shed light on the exciting career and internship opportunities that Boeing offers to students and recent graduates.

The event took place on February 2nd at Anthony’s Forum, and it was an evening filled with insightful discussions and networking opportunities. The collaboration between the three RSOs and Boeing created a unique platform to explore the vast possibilities in Boeing’s corporate operations.

Preparing for Take-Off brought together a panel of distinguished speakers, including Boeing representatives and accomplished alumni from the University of Washington. They generously shared their personal journeys, experiences, and knowledge about the various career paths available within Boeing. Attendees had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and how these values are nurtured within their work environment.

Thanks to the grant received by the RSOs, attendees were treated to a delightful catering experience. The spread added a touch of intimacy to the event and provided a conducive atmosphere for networking and connecting with peers and professionals.

The event successfully fostered an environment of collaboration, learning, and networking. Attendees, regardless of their major or background, were encouraged to participate and explore the potential career opportunities at Boeing. The Q&A session allowed for engaging discussions with the panelists, who generously shared their insights and answered questions, giving attendees a deeper understanding of the opportunities that lie ahead.

Preparing for Take-Off was a milestone event, as it was the first time all three RSOs teamed up to plan a collaboration. The event empowered students with invaluable knowledge, connections, and inspiration to navigate their professional journeys. The collaboration between Undergraduate Women in Business, Black at Foster, and the Association for Latinx Professionals of America, along with the support from Boeing, showcased the strength and impact of partnership and highlighted the shared commitment to empowering students and fostering diversity and inclusion.

We express our gratitude to KC for the generous grant received which made this event possible. The exceptional evening of networking, panel discussions, and having real conversations over delicious food exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression on all those in attendance. It is events like these that remind us of the power of collaboration, and we look forward to hosting more impactful events in the future.
