Small Business Recovery and Growth Seminars


Over the past year, COVID-19 has forced small-owned businesses owned by people of color to pivot in various ways to sustain business operations. As part of the Consulting and Business Development Center’s COVID-19 Resources for Small Business and in partnership with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) – Tacoma Business Agency, leading experts from EY (Ernst & Young) will guide a technical assistance workshop with businesses owners through the development of strategies to implement software, supply chain management, and how to utilize technology as they navigate this ever expanding digital landscape.

Seminars will take place Wednesdays from 7:30 AM – 9 AM on February 24th, March 31st, April 28th , and May 12th from 9 AM – 12 PM.

MANAGEMENT AND PRACTICE OF TELEWORK
Increasing Productivity & Decreasing Cyber Threats
Small businesses will develop strategies and identify online tools that support employee remote
work while protecting the company and customer data. Learn how to maximize available
technologies to manage a remote workforce, enhance collaboration, reduce errors, and drive
data to employees to improve their decision-making.

Seminar & Technical Assistance Workshop
This EY business clinic workshop brings together groups of impact entrepreneurs and offers a
combination of practical training, peer discussion and individual and group mentoring – all in a
few hours! Small businesses will learn how to adopt and integrate new technologies. Determine
if investing in new technologies is the right step for your firm. Seminar is open to all, technical assistance workshop has limited space availability.
