students celebrate hybrid mba ranking

Foster’s Hybrid MBA earned a top 10 ranking in the U.S. News & World Report Best Online MBA. Foster also ranks #6 in Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans and emerged as the top-ranked Online MBA program in the Northwest.

The Foster Hybrid MBA moved into the nation’s top tier due to high quality students and faculty, exceptional engagement, strong graduation rates, and technology and services that support student success. The Hybrid MBA program enrolls students from more than 15 states, with an average of more than 8 years of work experience. This create an accessibility to be a Husky- regardless of where you call home, with Hybrid’s 95% online, 5% in person format.

The most important factor in the Hybrid MBA ranking was engagement, defined as opportunities for students to interact with their instructors, classmates, smaller class sizes and support for student degree completion.

High Levels of Engagement

Foster’s unique Hybrid model includes a robust, immersive, and connected online learning environment complemented by the networking, collaboration, and leadership development opportunities fostered by in-person, on-campus sessions. Live “remote in” online classes happen in real-time; students are called on and participate in discussions just as they would during in-person classes.

Coupled with the online experience are the program’s in-person immersions which occur once a quarter for a total of six meetings on the University of Washington Seattle campus. These immersions allow for face-to-face time with faculty, staff, and career coaches. From networking to hands-on workshops, these sessions provide a foundation for relationships to thrive throughout the program.

“The Foster School Hybrid MBA Program offers a coordinated academic, leadership, and professional development experience that’s challenging but accessible to talented leaders nationwide”
Dan Turner, Associate Dean of the Foster School of Business.

Students Start and Graduate Together

Hybrid MBA students are part of a cohort model, another differentiator in the online category. Students work closely in teams despite the different states and time zones, many are interacting 3 times a week through the remote in classes, optional review sessions, and team meetings. Due to strong teamwork, graduation rates are high – 98% – for the 21-month program.

Career Services Support Advancement

Access to personalized career coaching, in-person employer networking, and regional treks are some of distinguishing factors between the Foster Hybrid MBA and many other online MBA options.

The Hybrid MBA Program also earned high marks in the other US News & World Report ranking criteria categories including student excellence, faculty credentials, student services, expert opinion, and technology.
